An Egyptian military court today banned all activities by the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic organization with 1 million Egyptian members – and the party of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.
Presiding Judge Mohammed el-Sayed also ordered the government to seize all the organization’s funds and to freeze its assets.
The organization has claimed persecution under the military government after Morsi’s ouster-and this decision could only further mobilize them underground.
