A note written by Albert Einstein describing his theory on happy living has surfaced after 95 years and is up for auction in Yerushalayim.

The note, given to a courier in Tokyo in 1922 during a lecture tour of Japan, was written shortly after the German-born physicist learned that he was to receive a Nobel Prize for his theory of relativity and says: “A quiet and modest life brings more joy than a pursuit of success bound with constant unrest.”

Another, on a blank piece of paper, reads simply: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

  1. The phrase “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” “אין דבר העומד בפני הרצון” was coined before Einstein. As a Jew, he probably picked up his “theories” from Midrash, Gemara and other sefarim.

  2. He had it all. I Should read his books. I Will speak with the rosh yeshivasha after pesach before mincha or after Maariv. Why is it call Arvit by yachy?

  3. How would he know? He hasn’t tried both ways. I think some people will always say that other people’s lives are more prone to happiness than theirs and some people will make a happy life in their own situation. Maybe he was unhappy because in his gut he knew that instead of using his brains for good things, he used it to destroy the world.
