Following last week’s wildcat strike, which angered many Israeli travelers, El Al Airlines is now trying to improve its battered image. The carrier has announced discounts to a range of destinations from today until June 30.
Return flights from Tel Aviv to Athens have been reduced to $249 from $283. Return flights to Zurich will cost $429, to Barcelona $479 down from $510, and to Paris $499, down from $537.
During the next two months new members can register free of charge to the frequent flyers club. Club members will receive 20% discounts on car rentals at El Al destinations from S. Shlomo Holdings Ltd. cars and points on vehicles rented.
El Al also launched a self-service check-in facility by Internet, mobile phone and SMS or at a self-service machine at Ben Gurion airport.
