The Environmental Protection Agency on Monday will announce the most sweeping effort to date by the United States government to combat climate change: a draft rule to seek a 30 percent reduction in carbon emissions by American power plants by the year 2030.
The new plan will eventually completely restructure the U.S. energy industry, but give states a menu of options for how to achieve their emissions, including choices that wouldn’t require them to immediately shut down coal-fired power plants, the largest source of greenhouse gases that have lead to the dangerous rise in global temperatures. What about China, Russia, India, etc. will they also cut emissions??? What is the use of one country in the entire world cutting its emissions, if these countries double and triple theirs. The air in China is so dirty you can actually see it and the same with India. This is another effort of our government trying to bring down the country by such harsh rules that all fuel costs will go up and so will every other cost. Inflation you haven’t seen anything yet.
This is a good start.
