The Israel Defense Forces carried out Operation Protective Edge in compliance with ethical requirements, according to Israel Prize laureate Professor Asa Kasher, who helped formulate the military’s Code of Ethics.
“We are fulfilling the ethical requirements,” he said, according to Israel Hayom. “Every battalion commander has an officer in charge of locating civilians, and everything is overseen by too many lawyers, who help direct the operation on the ground. The number of casualties is irrelevant-it does not speak of omissions or any wrongdoing on the part of the IDF.”
Kasher said Israel’s operation is facing a torrent of aggressive criticism because “there are people whose perspective is very shallow.”
“[Critics] are shown photographs of a destroyed house and a doll’s severed leg, photographs that are sometimes even from Syria, and they cry out,” he said. “They do not understand anything and they feel the need to express a shallow sort of good-heartedness that has them momentarily identifying with the underdog.”

There’s a video circulating on the web of a Palestinian supporter in NY going around interviewing random people about the war in Gaza. Most had no clue whats going on there. Then he shows the people 2 pictures one of bunch of dead children. Then he shows them a picture of a soldier stepping on a dead child with the mother nearby crying. All react in horror to this picture. The only problem is you only see the feet of the soldier. No where in the pictures can you see who the soldier is. for all I know it could be in Afganistan Iraq or Syria yet everyone took this guys word for it that it was Israel.
I would put underdog in quotations. Hamas was the Bully and they reigned terror upon a civil society .
