The highly anticipated event, the first of its kind, historic Asifah to commemorate the Yahrtzeit of the Tosefos Yom Tov, is taking place tonight!

The event, a project of the “Stop the Talking in Shul” initiative, attracted well over one thousand men from far and near, who have secured tickets to participate in person at tonight’s momentous Asifas Chizuk and dinner.

Many more people expressed interest in attending, but unfortunately, due to space constraints, were turned away.

Due to the importance of the event and the powerful speakers that will grace the program – Horav Gamliel Rabinowitz Shlita, via hookup from Yerushalayim and Horav Noach I. Oelbaum and Horav Yitzchok Sorotzkin Shlita – the organizers have decided to broadcast the event live via the web, to allow those who were unable to get tickets to attend, and those that live too far to attend, to have the opportunity to be a part of history as well.

The entire program will be broadcast live on www.Matzav.com and all who won’t be attending in person are encouraged to log in and participate virtually.

Doors will open at 6:15 pm and Mincha and the recital of Tehillim will take place  at 7:15 pm. The master of ceremonies, Rabbi Aaron Kotler, will open the program at approximately 7:50 pm, followed by the Mezamrim choir and the rest of the program, including a Siyum, the speeches, the satellite hookup and a performance by the renowned Chazzan Tzvi Weiss from Jerusalem. Birchas Hamazon is scheduled to take place around 10:00 pm, followed by festive dancing.

All who are attending in person are encouraged to arrive on time and have their printed tickets with them in order to gain entry into the hall. Complimentary valet parking will be available.

The event is sure to be a tremendous Kiddush Sheim Shomayim, and will hopefully serve a s atremendous Aliyah for the Neshama of the holy Tosefos Yom Tov as well as a Zechus for all of Klal Yisroel to have a Kesiva V’chasima Tova in the New Year ahead.
