Some of Donald Trump’s Facebook posts caused such a scandal among the social network’s employees that CEO Mark Zuckerberg had to intervene, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The journal cited several anonymous sources at the company as saying the Republican nominee’s posts about his proposed Muslim ban triggered a debate within the company about whether his posts constituted hate speech. Several Facebook employees reportedly pushed for one post in particular to be removed. But Facebook’s head of global policy management, Monika Bickert, decided to keep the post in order to avoid censoring a presidential candidate, the report said. Zuckerberg, who later reviewed the internal complaint about Trump’s post, sided with Bickert and decided to leave the post up. Read more at THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.
