Facebook is rolling out Instant Articles on the iPhone at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, a new product that allows publishers to post articles directly to the social media platform 10 times faster than before.
The program is launching with nine partners including New York Times, National Geographic, BuzzFeed, NBC, the Atlantic, the Guardian, BBC News, Spiegel and Bild.
Instant Articles enables users to zoom in on high-resolution photos, watch auto-play videos, explore interactive maps, listen to audio captions and comment on individual portions of an article line-in, according to Facebook product manager Michael Reckhow.
