The IDF reported a false alarm for the red alert sirens that went off Thursday afternoon in the Kerem Shalom region in southern Israel, next to the Gaza Strip and Egyptian borders.
The false alarm comes after Israel carried out a series of air strikes against Islamist group Hamas in Gaza early Thursday–hours after rockets were fired at the Jewish state from the Palestinian enclave.
