emirates-airlinesAn Emirates Airlines flight at John F. Kennedy Airport has been cleared for departure after authorities stopped it a short while ago when they thought a passenger on board the plane was on the No-Fly list.  Officials said Emirates flight 204 to Dubai was halted on the ramp at JFK when officials got word a name on the manifest matched someone on the terror watch list.

The case, however, was one of mistaken identity and officials were working to release the plane right now.

Times Square bombing suspect Faisal Shahzad was arrested Monday on board an Emirates Airlines flight after airline officials apparently failed to check an updated No-Fly list that he had been added to. Since then, the Department of Homeland Security ordered airlines to check the list every two hours instead of every 24 hours.
