The FBI arrested 27 people early this morning in New York in a sweeping Mafia raid.
The arrests are reportedly in connection to an investigation into the mob’s alleged control of the private garbage-hauling industry.
They were expected to be arraigned this afternoon.
Those arrested allegedly come from three out of the area’s five mob families, although the names have not been made public yet. Read more at New York Post.
