hillary clintonThe FBI is investigating the security and installation of Hillary Clinton’s private email system, the Washington Post reported Tuesday, citing two government officials.

The agency has reportedly contacted a Denver-based technology firm that assisted in setting up the private system she used while serving as secretary of state.

The FBI also contacted Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, regarding a thumb drive containing copies of work emails she sent while at the State Department. The inquiry follows the intelligence community’s inspector general’s recent request for the Justice Department to look into the issue.

Intelligence officials did not accuse the Democratic presidential frontrunner of any violations, but expressed concern that some classified information was compromised.

The two officials added Clinton was not a focus in the FBI inquiry.

New revelations from the probe reveal the server installed at her Chappaqua, N.Y., home was initially used by her 2008 campaign for presidency. Read more at the Washington Post.
