Fear of Terror Attack Highest Since 9/11

police terrorA poll released Thursday found Americans surveyed were more fearful of a terrorist attack than at any time since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The New York Times/CBS News poll found 44 percent said an attack is “very likely” to happen in the next few months—the highest in Times or CBS News polls since the weeks following the 2001 attacks.

That mounting fear has helped Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s rise in the polls. The survey found seven in 10 people who are likely to vote in the GOP primary said he has what it takes to respond to the threat of terrorism. Read more at The New York Times.
