Feds: Climate Change Hurting U.S. Now

climate-changeThe federal government released its 1,100-page National Climate Assessment report today, and it ain’t pretty. The report makes it clear that climate change is already negatively affecting the United States.

“Corn producers in Iowa, oyster growers in Washington state, and maple syrup producers in Vermont are all observing climate-related changes that are outside of recent experience,” the report said.

John P. Holdren, President Obama’s scientific adviser, said the report was “the loudest and clearest alarm bell to date” for taking action to combat climate change. Read the entire report here. Read more at USA Today.
