Feds Embed With Baltimore Homicide Squad


baltimore policeTen federal agents are set to join the Baltimore homicide unit after the city had one of its deadliest months in a decade. In 2015 alone, 191 people were killed in Baltimore—45 of them in July. 

There are already 20 agents from the bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on the ground in the city as well as a full-time FBI analyst.

“We’re not sitting still in Baltimore,” Interim Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said. “This is not something we are satisfied with happening to us as a city. We’re punching back, and we’re going to continue to punch back as creatively and innovatively as we can.” Read more at The Baltimore Sun.
