A man was arrested at a Donald Trump rally in Las Vegas after he attempted to grab a police officer’s gun, the U.S. Secret Service reported.
According to a federal agent in an unsealed criminal complaint, Michael Steven Sandford wanted to use it to kill the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
Special Agent Swierkowski, named in the complaint in U.S. District Court in Nevada, said Sandford told officers he drove from California to kill Trump. He also practiced shooting at a Las Vegas gun range the day before, added Swierkowski, whose first name was redacted. Sandford had a U.K. driver’s license. Read more.
