Fire at Rav Sholom Zimmerman’s Yeshiva

Spring Valley, NY – A blaze destroyed the dormitory of Rav Sholom Zimmerman’s yeshiva today.

The fire broke out at about 12 p.m. near the corner of East Funston Drive and Route 45 in Spring Valley. As passerbys gathered and watched the heavy smoke billow to the sky, firefighters from surrounding locals arrived and battled the blaze bringing it under control.

There were no injuries, boruch Hashem, but sources indicate that the damage is extensive.

Rav Zimmerman’s yeshiva is a bais medrash-age yeshiva that opened in the Mosey area several years ago.
