First Torah Settlement In Poland Since The Holocaust

Rav Pinchas Pump, a founder of the Bnei Yissachar Institutions in Dinov, southern Poland, plans to establish the first Torah settlement in Poland since the Holocaust at the spot where the Dinov rebbes are interred. He has quietly arranged the necessary authorization and hopes to complete fifteen houses by summer at the subsidized cost of $70,000 apiece.

Such a settlement would help provide visitors and businessmen with a place to find kosher food and spend Shabbos with a minyan, and also provide a Torah atmosphere for Polish Jews interested in developing their spiritual potential.
