‘Flood Wall Street’ Protests Begin

flood-wall-streetNearly a thousand protesters clad in blue hit Wall Street today to protest what they saw as the financial sector’s role in promoting investments in planet-polluting industries.

Protesters were reportedly ready to get arrested by the NYPD, and around 1:20 p.m. tensions rose between demonstrators and police after multiple officers took down a protester.

Tomorrow, President Obama will address to the United Nations General Assembly on the same issue. Read more at Politico.
