After many decades, Rav Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau, rov of Bnei Brak, allowed a pizzeria to open under his hashgocha on condition that no seating or tables are provided.
He explained that pizza stores were prohibited to preserve the sanctity of the Torah city. But in recent years, a number of such stores have opened with other hechsherim.
