car attackAn Arab terrorist attempted to run over a number of Israelis in Gush Etzion to night.

According to early reports, Arab rioters threw rocks at two Israeli vehicles – one a security vehicle, the other private – on Route 60 between Beit Ummar and Karmi Tzur, Arutz Sheva reports.

Passengers from one of the vehicles exited their car carrying weapons to confront the rioters and were subsequently plowed down.

The terrorist was neutralized by passengers  – who were all in their 20s – before security forces arrived on the scene.

One victim was in serious condition with a head injury and was airlifted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Yerushalayim, reports Times of Israel. Three others had minor injuries.

The army said that the driver of the vehicle was shot by Israeli security forces.

“Forces on site who witnessed the attack responded, firing at the assailant,” the IDF said in a statement.
