fox gop debateFox Business Network announced the participating candidates for next Tuesday evening’s Republican debate, and it includes several major shake-ups to the previous lineups, the Daily Beast reports.

The primetime debate, airing 9:00 p.m. ET, will feature the eight candidates who scored 2.5% or higher on an average of four recent national polls: Donald Trump (25.3%), Ben Carson (24.5%), Marco Rubio (11.8%), Ted Cruz (10.0%), Jeb Bush (5.5%), Carly Fiorina (3.0%), John Kasich (2.8%) and Rand Paul (2.5%).

This means that Chris Christie and Mike Huckabee — two candidates previously included in the primetime debates — have fallen to the so-called “undercard” event, airing at 7:00 p.m. ET. They will join Bobby Jindal and Rick Santorum as the lone four candidates to meet the criteria of at least a one-percent average in polling.

Gone entirely from the debate stage are Lindsey Graham and George Pataki.

The four polls used in the average were conducted by the following organizations: Fox News, Investor’s Business Daily/TIPP, Quinnipiac University, and The Wall Street Journal/NBC News. Read more.

  1. The media is trying to eliminate Mike Huckabee because he is the ONLY candidate from either party who is an upstanding righteous Gentile who has nothing to hide. He is a moral person. Something which is very hard to find in todays PC world. Regardless, I will still continue to support and vote for Mike.
