Fox News Grills Trump on His Anti-Muslim Plan

trumpFox’s Greta Van Susteren grilled Donald Trump within an hour after the Republican frontrunner announcing his proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.

“What about the members of our U.S. military who are Muslims serving overseas?” Van Susteren asked of the business mogul. Somewhat avoidantly, he responded, “They will come home and we have to be vigilant and we have take care of the Muslims living there. We have to be vigilant. We have two of of them living here and they had guns and… they had bombs. They had ammunition. Everybody knew that something bad was going to happen… So we can’t allow this to happen.”

“Maybe you didn’t hear my question right,” the host shot back. “There are Americans serving in our military who are Muslims who are overseas on bases. Do you apply this rule to them?

“No,” Trump replied. “They would come home.” This slightly contradicts the statements of his own spokeswoman Hope Hicks, who told The Hill that Trump’s proposal applies to “everyone.”

“There is tremendous animosity,” the politician added of how Muslims view the United States. “I have Muslim friends, and they are wonderful people. There is a tremendous cross-section of Muslims living in our country who have tremendous animosity. We can’t let this happen.”

Pressed on whether his proposal would apply to his Muslim friends, Trump said, “This does not apply to people living in the country, except that we have to be vigilant.”

When presented with his rivals’ various condemnations of his plan, Trump proceeded to insult them (Bush is “low key,” Christie should focus on his 2012 “hug” with Obama).

“Would this apply to your friends?” Greta asked. Read more at The Daily Beast.

  1. Even if Muslims take over the USA, it will still be better than having the GOP turn this country into a white, Christian state that persecutes Jews and minorities. Hillary 2016!
