France Says It Will Vote in Favor of Palestinians’ U.N. Bid

abbas-mapFrance will vote in favor of the Palestinians’ request to heighten their profile at the United Nations, the French foreign minister told Parliament on Tuesday, embracing a move that Israel and the United States oppose.

Russia and China, two other permanent members, have also thrown their support behind the Palestinian bid.

The French support appeared calculated to strengthen the position of the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, whose party governs the West Bank, after clashes with Israel in the Gaza Strip this month that left Hamas, the Islamic militant organization that oversees Gaza, ascendant.

  1. in favour, automatically disqualifies itself from being in the ‘moral’ majority. France in any case is hardly a country justified to call itself ‘moral’ with its extreme anti-religious agenda even before they sold themselves to the ‘Palestinian’ cause! Will the Israeli govt ever learn that seeking ‘morality’ from the nations of the world in place of the Holy Torah is a mission doomed to failure before they even start??

  2. No wonder why I have no guilty feelings about sleeping through most of my french classes in high school. May the L-rd bless my discrete and amiable teacher! She never woke me ever!!!!!!!
