slurpees7-Eleven is giving away free Slurpees to customers who stop by participating locations between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m today.

The free icy drinks are meant to celebrate the convenience store’s 85th birthday. Tracing back to 1927, 7-Eleven originally opened in front of a Dallas ice house.

Locations for your nearest 7-Eleven can be found here. Given how fast these things could go in this heat, calling in advance might be a good idea.

“This year we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before,” 7-Eleven President and CEO Joe DePinto said in a press release on the chain’s site. He said he expects to beat last year’s offer by 2 million.

But anyone hoping to gulp down one of these tasty frozen treats had better hurry: 7-Eleven reports they will only be available while supplies last.

  1. What a kiddush Hasaem when yidden flood 7/11’s, in order to get a 7 ounce free drink, naturally not making any purchases while there.

    Is it kosher?

The answer to that is very, very simple: ask your local posek.

I really am surprised that you publicly ask such an elementary question.

  3. Check out 7-11 on Ave M, and you will see many Yidden who make 24hr purchases including coffee, quick pharmacy items, juice, water, etc.
    JOSH why so negative?

  4. #10, its not negative, its a fact. People would just go for the free slurpy. Why would they not? If a local bagel store was offering free bagels, would you not go just for that?
