Re        NYPD PAYBACK

SLOWDOWN  66 and 70 Precincts

Commissioner Bratton,

Incorporated herein by reference are my prior communication regarding the failure of the 66th Precinct to respond to requests for assistance.  Related files are IAB 16-24825 and IAB 16-23100

Today’s paper features a similar experience with the 70th precinct.  See http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nypd-cops-slow-aid-nearby-bakery-wild-man-article-1.2730210

The present practice is untenable and is putting people’s lives at risk. As a neighborhood attorney, I request that this matter be investigated as a priority. Additionally, I welcome an an opportunity for a meeting to discuss this further.

Thank you.

Very truly yours,                                                                                                                     Aaron Tyk

  1. Huh? What’s he talking about? Can you clarify what he’s talking about? Is this a free plug for some lawyer?

    • The NYPD is upset because of what the FBI did to some of its top brass, due to accusations of bribery. So some members decided to abandon and work against the community.

  2. Note to the ‘frum’ lawyer who wrote the letter and other ‘frum’ people –

We are in golus. Don’t forget that.

Don’t think that you can always get what you want. Even if you have a law degree.

Better to realize that now, rather than to learn it in a more difficult manner later.

P.S. While the above is relevant year round, all the more so in the three weeks period, which we are in now.

  3. Did you read the letter “The present practice is untenable and is putting people’s lives at risk.”

Most of us don’t want our 911 calls ignored becaused “we are in galus”. You should give the guy credit for doing something.
