In the aftermath of the news that AG Mandelblit will indict Prime Minsiter Netanyahu on bribery charges related to Case 4000, allies and enemies have rushed to comment on Netanyahu’s next move.

In a post on Twitter, Chairman of the Labor Party Avi Gabbay called on the Prime Minister to step down writing:

“Netanyahu, resign, put an end to the national distress and do not conduct your battle from the Prime Minister’s office. Netanyahu is a disgrace to the state of Israel. He has devastated everything to save himself. Israeli citizens do not want corrupt leadership.”

Meanwhile, the former mayor of Yerushalayim  and Likud candidate for the Knesset Nir Barkat spoke out in reference to the indictment of Prime Minister Netanyahu, writing:

“I sincerely hope that the Prime Minister will succeed and prove his innocence. It is important to remember that even today the Prime Minister has the presumption of innocence.

“We have to put aside the background noise and unite behind Netanyahu and the Likud in order to defend the state and continue its growth and strengthening.”

The Prime Minister himself is set to comment on the charges in a press conference later tonight.
