“The best way to beat the biting cold temperatures of winter is to busy ourselves gearing up for another spectacular summer camp season,” said a camp director from the Midwest.

Speaking with Matzav about the 10th annual “Camp Expo & Conference” sponsored by the Association of Jewish Camp Operators, the director said, “Each year this professional camp trade show never ceases to amaze me. Everyone dedicated to the finest summer camp experience for our children gathers together and we learn about such incredibly innovative and creative ideas that truly enhance the camp experience.”

This year’s expo will be sponsored by a large number of major Jewish newspapers and is scheduled to take place, IY’H, on Thursday, March 3, 2016, from 12-7 pm in the magnificent ballroom at The Palace, 780 McDonald Avenue in Boro Park, Brooklyn.  Admission is free only with online registration (jewishexpos.com/campexpo) and free transportation will be provided from Lakewood, Monsey, Williamsburg and Monroe. Both men and woman are invited to attend, but please no strollers, babies or children under 16.

As the Camp Expo celebrates an entire decade of providing top-of-the-line summer camp opportunities, the conference’s 10-year milestone will be marked by the presence of 40 brand new vendors from such countries as South Africa, Israel and Canada.   These international vendors will be offering highly unique products and services that represent new trends in camping.

Created by ShaulE Events & Marketing, and presented by the AJCO (the Association of Jewish Camp Operators). As in previous years, the expo and conference will include a variety of amusements and attractions, top notch entertainment, panoply of games and recreation, arts and crafts, kosher food and canteen, among many other features.

Over 1,000 participants from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, the Midwest and Canada are expected to attend the ever burgeoning expo.

What makes this trade show truly distinct is the seven hours of uninterrupted networking.  This one-of-a-kind event is organized for the staff members of camps, day camps, bungalow colonies, schools, and special needs programs.  Participants can meet others in similar positions to themselves and review, discuss, and innovate to maximize success for the upcoming summer season.

Attendees will explore and review a variety of sources for their camp’s summer daily function; investigate and negotiate effectively and find innovative ways to yield the highest rates of success for an upcoming summer.

The select group of exhibitors who will be participating in this exciting one-day expo and conference have developed new opportunities in the Jewish sleep away and day camp markets. They will present their programs through the platform of informative workshops and seminars on an entire host of subjects and topics pertaining to the success of their camp.

All participants will receive a professional booklet highlighting each exhibitor along with contact information for future reference.  The information will also be available on the AJCO website for easy access following the event.

“Crucial to every Jewish camp’s needs” is how Mrs. M, a 2015 participant described her experience at the Jewish Expo & Conference.  “The wealth of information presented here  issimply indispensible for anyone in the summer camp industry, ” she added .
