Gearing Up for the Summer – 9th Annual AJCO Camp Expo & Conference

“The best way to beat the biting cold temperatures of winter is to busy ourselves gearing up for another spectacular summer camp season,” said a camp director from the Midwest. Speaking with the Yated about the upcoming “Camp Expo & Conference” sponsored by the Association of Jewish Camp Operators, the director said, “Each year this professional camp trade show never ceases to amaze me. Everyone dedicated to the finest summer camp experience for our children gathers together and we learn about such incredibly innovative and creative ideas that truly enhance the camp experience.”

This year’s expo will be hosted by Hamodia and is scheduled to take place on March 11, 2015, IY’H in the magnificent ballroom at The Palace, 780 McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn.  Over 1,000 participants from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, the Midwest and Canada are expected to attend the ever burgeoning expo.

Created by ShaulE Events & Marketing, and presented by the AJCO,  expo will feature over 100 exhibits  showcasing:  finance, insurance, equipment, supplies, bussing, gifts, Judaica, pool supplies, kitchen equipment, food service, catering, arts ‘n crafts, incentives and more.

Unique about this trade show is the seven hours of uninterrupted networking.  This one-of-a-kind event is organized for the staff members of camps, day camps, bungalow colonies, schools, and special needs programs.  While enjoying a hot buffet, participants can meet others in similar positions to themselves and review, discuss, and innovate to maximize success for the upcoming summer season.

The Camp Expo will showcase an abundance of information and services crucial to every Jewish camps needs, upkeep and an organization’s exponential growth and existence.

Attendees will explore and review a variety of sources for their camp’s summer daily function; investigate and negotiate effectively and find innovative ways to yield the highest rates of success for an upcoming summer.

The select group of exhibitors who will be part of this exciting new one-day expo and conference will be developing new opportunities in the Jewish sleep away and day camp markets through informative workshops and seminars on a spectrum of subjects pertaining to the success of their camp.

All participants will receive a booklet highlighting the exhibitors with contact information for future reference.  The information will also be available on the AJCO website for easy access following the event.
