Gedolim Call for Tefillos for Tosher Rebbe

tosher-rebbeGedolim in Eretz Yisroel have designated today, Erev Rosh Chodesh Kislev (mukdam) as a day for Yidden around the globe to daven and recite Tehillim for the Tosher Rebbe, Rav Meshulam Feish Segal-Lowy, who has been in critical condition at the Jewish General Hospital in Canada. The Rebbe has battled fever and water in his lungs and was placed on a respirator to help him breathe.

As a zechus for the Rebbe, a minyan gathered at the Rebbe’s grandfather’s kever in Hungary to daven for a refuah sheleimah. Likewise, Yidden have gone to the Rimnitzer tziyon in Monsey and the Satmar Rov’s tziyon in Kiras Yoel to daven for the Rebbe.

Letters from the Eidah Hachareidis and gedolei Torah have been hung across Yerushalayim and other Torah locales imploring Yidden to daven for the Rebbe.

The Chassidic community of Tosh is located in Kiryas Tosh, Quebec, Canada, outside of Boisbriand, a suburb of Montreal. The Rebbe, one of the oldest admorim in the world, leads his kehillah there and has botei medrash in Boro Park, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Kiryas Yoel, Monsey and London. He is renowned for his tzidkus, dikduk b’mitzvos and intense avodas Hashem.

The Rebbe’s name for Tehillim is Rav Meshulem Feish ben Tzirel.

May he have a refuah sheleimah kekarov.

  1. The Rebbe should have a Refu’ah Sheleima.

However, it is NOT Erev Rosh Chodesh that is mukdam, it is Yom Kippur Kattan that is mukdam.

Erev Rosh Chodesh is this Shabbos Kodesh, parashas Toldos, which is why we read “Mochor Chodesh” for the haftorah.

  2. Thank you so much for bringing the news and the situation of the holly Toshe Rebbi! I know him, I once saw him and had a major miracle through him. A real holly righteous man. He always gave himself away for Hashem and to do Chesed with other Jews. Anyone who came to him. A major tzadik. We need him here with us, just to be able to look on him, see him, and receive his Koach Hakdusha upon us and for our children.

Thanks so much for this article!!
