General Mills is dropping artificial colors and flavors from its cereals, the latest company to respond to a growing desire for food made with ingredients people see as natural.

Fox News reports that the company said that Trix and Reese’s Puffs will be among the first cereals to undergo the changes. The company is the first major cereal company to replace those artificial ingredients with fruits, vegetables and spices.

“We wanted to make sure they were still fun vibrant colors that we are providing and the fruity flavor that kids expect,” Kate Gallager, General Mills cereal developer, told ABC News’ Good Morning America.

  1. Great! now they will add more ingredients to compensate for the flavor that will make the kids grow more obese .

  2. Whats natural? What isn’t? Most things we use from nature arent natural. Is corn natural? Is the apple? I mean unless you enjoy tiny bitter apples? Are bannanas? Nope unless you enjoy having to cook your banana to eat it. Oh and don’t forget the seeds!. This natural argument is dumb. Nature (natural) doesn’t help mankind it tries to compete/survive!
