gingrichFormer House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Sunday he does not expect the political battles over Obamacare, raising the debt ceiling and the ongoing government shutdown will hurt Republicans in the next election.

With nearly 400 days to go before voters have their say at the ballot boxes, Gingrich told CNN’s “State of the Union” that his party would have ample time to plead its case.

“This is the middle of a bloody fight, this is a serious principled fight,” Gingrich said.

“Nobody in this city wants to grant the House Republicans any dignity, but the fact is they are fighting over very profound principles, and when it’s over and when the dust settles, the country’s going to assess and then they’re going to discover that Obamacare is a disaster,” Gingrich said.

  1. Typical Newt Gingrich. He is right . The Republican Party can’t be hurt worse than it is already. But maybe, he and his Party can do even more damage to our country than it has done so far.

  2. Newt is not afraid to speak his mind.

The Democrat party controls the White House and the U.S. Senate and the Republican Party is doing “damage” to the country?

Is Barack Obama and his henchmen that are doing damage to this country. Not one cent of government spending can ever be cut. Government does not create wealth. Obamacare socialism, in the government will control 1/6 of the economy, will inflict more damage than any Republican: More expensive health care, inferior health care, less choices, and, worst of all the elite (Congress, etc.) will be exempt while the common citizen will either capitulate to big government or pay a fine.

The Republican Party is fighting for liberty, for us. Obama and the Democrats are fighting to keep their stranglehold of power in Washington D.C. over the rest of us.

    LIBERTY is worth fighting for!
