romneyMitt Romney pledged Tuesday night that if he’s elected president, his first foreign trip will be to Israel.

“My first foreign trip will be to Israel, to show the world we care about that country and that region,” said Romney, who frequently bashes the Obama administration’s handling of Israel on the campaign trail.

Romney stumbled a bit as he rattled off a list of steps he would take to protect Israel from Iranian aggression, starting to stay that he would indict Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for violating the Geneva Conventions – before correcting himself to say the Convention on Genocide.

  1. Great job Romney! We’ve got a president in office for nearly 3 years and hasn’t visited Israel EVEN ONCE! (Only while he was running 4 president. Well, then he needed the jewish vote.) And how many times has the PM Netanyahu visited the US?

  2. #1, I’m not sure that Netanyahu’s visits to the US are relevant. Who needs whom more? Almost every leader in the world wants to and does visit the US. Should the President go running around and visit every nation that visits us?

  3. reb hershel and marc romney means what he says and he understands israel importence to the us and forshore better then anti israel obama so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 !!!!!romney for president!!!
