U.S. House of Representatives Republicans passed a joint House-Senate budget plan Thursday directed at appealing President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform law this year.
The plan calls for making about $5.3 trillion in cuts to domestic spending over the next decade, increasing military spending by almost $40 billion next year in order to get rid of deficits by 2024 and without raising taxes.
The bill passed 226-197, with no Democrats supporting it. The GOP-controlled Senated is expected to pass the bill next week. Read more at Politico.
