Gov. Paterson Attends Kiryas Yoel Fundraiser

Gov. David Paterson made two campaign stops in Kiryas Yoel last night, first at the home of Mayor Avrohom Wieder and then at the home of a 37-year-old businessman who hosted a fundraiser for the Democrat.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind of Brooklyn sat beside Paterson at the fundraiser.

One guest said Paterson spent about 25 minutes at Mayor Wieder’s Fillmore Court home before driving with Wieder and Kiryas Yoel Administrator Gedalya Szegedin to the home of Akiva Klein to drum up campaign money.

Klein, co-owner of a New Jersey business that sells cameras and other products, and Kiryas Yoel builder Yaakov Sofer organized the fundraiser.
