  1. The Kalla is a grand-daughter of Rav Shmuel Faivelson, Rosh Yeshiva in Monsey/Spring Valley, may he be zoche to a refuah sheleima.

  2. 1) What is the age of the Chozzon? What is the age of the Kallah?

    2) Why did you post the first name of the Kallah? According to what you (Matzav) profess, it’s a lack of tznius! You can’t have it both way’s.

    Elisha Ferber, Matzav.com, responds:
We are not sure why you claim that we maintain that it is a lack of tznius to post the kallah’s name. We never stated such a thing, nor suggested it. And we are not quite sure what you mean by us “having it both ways.”

  3. good to see that the different families of TELZ CHICAGO get along and become mechutanim. others ought to learn from them how to get along with people

  4. To shidduch crisis, pray tell, why is it anyone’s business the age of the chosson and kallah? There is no halacha of boys HAVING to marry older girls!!!
Even when Nasi (and some gedolim) gave it as a suggestion and gave divrei brocha for those who marry girls close to their ages, do you recall anywhere a person of note stating that it was assur to marry younger girls?

  5. the chosson’s father is a first cousin to Lipa.
Rav Chaim Schmelczer z’l had one brother, Reb Reuven Schmelczer, father of Lipa.
One of the grandchildren commented how times have changed.
Their yichus used to be that they were the grandchildren of Rav Chaim Schmelczer z’l, while nowadays, people ask, “Are you related to Lipa?”

  6. What happened to mentioning the chossons yichus? Only the kallah has the spotlight shown on her!! and plus yichus doesnt count its the person thats engaged who counts. Also i heard yichus is all the 00000 but there’s got to be the 1 before it to make it a real number!! the choson and kallah are the number1’s before the 0000’s.
aNYWAYhere goes the chosson’s yichus The chosson’s grandfather is R’ Avrohom Mordechai Shapiro zt”l Rav of Beth Israel Miami and R’ Moshe Shimon Shapiro is the chosson’s great uncle. Also R’ Mottel Weinberg is a great uncle to the chosson. I hope people don’t get carried away with all the yichusdik. are we trying to brag and show off. let’s not forget the essential and important things that are needed to build a home. Yichus is a special gift, but lets not flaunt it. Let’s not forget what’s really important to build a mikdash meat!! regards from your cuz down south

  7. This is earth shattering news, a prominent family is making a simcha. Please keep me informed as to the progress of the wedding plans. What will they serve at the vort? How many human hair sheitels are in the contract? How expensive is the bracelet? Is this site just a family newsletter?

  8. I attended the vort last night and mentioned to one of the close relatives that the simcha was on Matzav.com.
The person answered, “What is Matzav?” I was actually impressed, so they have nothing to do with this and don’t even have internet to know what these blogs are all about.
Let’s not belittle a choshuve family who had no intentions of making it this public online. They deserve their privacy.

  9. To #10:
I agree with you. All the “heimisha” “news” outlets should stop making ah grozeh tzimis from every rosh yeshiva/rebbe/administrader/askan/baal tzedaka etc.. who makes a simcha! It’s nice – it’s great, but big deal! Woope do! It just trivializes the whole situation!
