monsey-accidentA great-grandson of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey was injured in a car accident last night in Monsey, NY, and is in critical condition.

At about 10 p.m., Hatzolah volunteers responded to a call and discovered the victim, R’ Yisroel Hager, lying unresponsive on the road.

R’ Yisroel was taken to Westchester Medical Center.

R’ Yisroel, who is 23, is a son of Rav Yaakov Yosef Hager, who is a son of Rav Pinchos Shalom Hager, who is a son of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey, Rav Mordechai Hager.

Last night, after davening Maariv, R’ Yisroel was on the way to the home of his parents when he was hit by a passing vehicle. The accident reportedly caused bleeding in the brain and R’ Yisroel lost consciousness. At Westchester, R’ Yisroel was immediately taken to the operating room.

R’ Yisroel is a son-in-law of the Ziditchoiver Rebbe of Bnei Brak.

All are asked to daven for Yisroel ben Shifra.

    HOW MUCH LONGER WILL PEOPLE WEARING BLACK KEEP WALKING WITHOUT REFLECTORS!!!!!!!!??????????

    Haven’t we lost enough people already due to such negligence? If you don’t care about your own life, then do it for the trauma the poor driver will have for life for knocking you down!

    yes every yid no matter who it is, is always a story.

    cause whenever a public tragedy occurs R”L it is a wake-up call to ALL of klal yisroel.

    (sometimes its a wake-up call for teshuva other times its for achdus etc…)

    if we do teshuva now lets hope his life can be saved
