NYC Councilman David Greenfield secured $300,000 in new funding for Hatzolah. The funding will be used to provide new ambulances.

“Hatzolah is a remarkable organization,” Greenfield said. “It’s a worldwide community service organization that does outstanding work wherever it operates, and it all started right here in Brooklyn. I’m thrilled that I was able to fund them again this year.”

“Hatzolah helps ease the burden on our busy 911 centers and ensures that the residents of our neighborhoods can get the aid they need in a timely manner,” Greenfield added.

Hatzolah’s average response time in Boro Park is under 4 minutes during daytime hours, and 7-8 minutes at night. In an emergency, neighborhood residents can reach Hatzolah by dialing 718-387-1750. Those wishing to donate or find out how they can help the organization should call the non-emergency number, 718-871- 1750.
