gross-brothersYitzchok Gross, 7, and Michoel Gross, 5, are progressing in their recovery at Schneider’s Medical Center in Petach Tikvah. They have been placed in the same room and are no longer in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

It is now almost two weeks since the children of R’ Shimonhttp://matzav.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gifand Michal Gross of Yerushalayim were accidentally exposed to a chemical agent, Phosphine, left behind by an exterminator.

Yitzchok’s and Michoel’s sisters, Yael, 2, and Avigayil, 4, both passed away following the incident. Avigayil’s birthday would have been celebrated earlier this week.

Yidden all over the globe continue to daven for Refoel Yitzchok Eizik ben Michal and Chaim Michoel Shlomo ben Michal, who, doctors say, will require further treatments and therapy due to the impact of inhaling the toxic substance, but they are hopeful.

R’ Shimon and Michal again thanked all of Klal Yisroel for davening for their sons.

All of Klal Yisroel are asked to continue to daven for the two brothers. May we hear besuros tovos.

  1. hoduh laHashem for this great nes!
thanks matzav for giving us this besurah. its so special when we daven so hard for these little innocent neshamos and hear that they are recovering!

  2. while we are ‘makir tov’ to the Rbono shel oilam for the steady progress, may it only continue all the way until the children have a complete refuah shlamia… I must say that the headline bothers me, as it is dangerous.

there is no question that tefilla works and can bring people back from certain death, unfortunately, there have been many communal or even worldwide tefilla gatherings for other cholim or siuations where the aibeshter ultimately said, “no” nebach, hashem yirachem, may moshiach come soon.

that doesn’t mean those tefillos were in vain, or the rbono shel olam wasn’t listening then. we don’t know His cheshbonos. its dangerous to “Tzu shtel” from here that the tefillos will result in what we think is a positive outcome – EVERY time. Chas vsholom, one could lose their faith.

more hakaras hatov also goes to the parents, volunteers, hospital staff, technicians etc. who all played key roles in the boys so far recovery.

  3. At the last update of the story at http://matzav.com/yitzchok-gross-where-are-my-sisters, I discussed at great length the problem of who is going to pay the horrendous costs of these couple of weeks of hospitalization — with all of the intensive special care — along with the steep costs of burial for the two daughters.

I unequivocally explained that the villain in this picture is the entire industry of the insecticide/pesticide manufacturing corporations along with their promoters in the exterminating profession. They are the ones who caused this horrific tragedy, and thus they are absolutely the ones who must be held fully resposible for all of its costs and ramifications. This means all of the costs now PLUS any costs that, Chas V’Shalom, may come from it in the future.
