Hamas Leader Doubles Down on Group’s Goal of Eradicating Israel

Yahya Sinwar, the political chief in Gaza for the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, said on Thursday the group will not disarm or ever recognize Israel, and vowed to get rid of the Jewish state.

“Gone is the time in which Hamas discussed recognition of Israel,” Sinwar said during a rally in Gaza. “The discussion now is about when we will wipe out Israel.”

Sinwar added, “No one will disarm us. No one can disarm Hamas.” His declaration came after the US and Israel said this week they will not negotiate with any Palestinian unity government that includes Hamas, as long as the terror group refuses to abide by the Middle East Quartet principles of disarming, renouncing terror and recognizing Israel.
