Hannity Lands First Jeb Bush Interview as Official Candidate

jeb-bushFox News Channel’s Sean Hannity has scored the first interview with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush after he officially announces his presidential campaign on Monday, Politico reports.

Bush has scheduled an event in Miami on Monday in which he is widely expected to say he is officially seeking the Republican presidential nomination. Hannity will interview Bush the next day on his 10 p.m. EDT show, Politico reported.

Bush also will appear on “The Tonight Show” that same night at 11:35.

The Bush campaign told Politico that Bush will not hold any other interviews before Hannity’s on Tuesday.

Bush will be the fifth GOP presidential candidate to talk to Hannity first, including Sens. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Others have tried to get major interviews with Hannity, but were turned down by the show either because they already had talked to someone else or weren’t considered popular enough, Politico said.
