Police in Orlando are searching for a two-year-old boy who was dragged into the water at a Disney resort by an alligator. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. last night at the Seven Seas Lagoon in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said at a press conference around 1 a.m. that after nearly four hours of searching, the boy had still not been found. The boy had been sitting on a sandy area with his two parents and two other siblings when the alligator attacked him, police said, and the father tried to wrestle the boy from the animal but was unsuccessful. Police have vowed to continue searching through the night with the help of Fish and Wildlife workers. Read more at The Orlando Sentinel.

  1. It is brought down in seforim, that because of our sins, animals rule over us and put fear into us. Only when Mashiach comes will the animals live in peace with us and do our bidding.

    • Animals don’t do mans bidding? Apperently nobody notified you of domestication! And where is it brought down? If you are gonna say its brought down then say where!

  2. I guess nobody wanted to shoot the alligator and be criticized as was in the ape case in the zoo. The poor alligator was hungry and wanted his supper. “An hungry alligator is more important than a human 2 year old.” a crazy world we live in.

  3. I think he made a,meal out of him….thats what these animals do..how tragic….
U cant sit by the water anymore….

  4. Re anonymous 9:37: Rebbetzin Jungreis, tlita, has pointed out that you can see the makos come to life in modern history. 2 cases of people being attacked by animals, however preventable it may or may not have been? Not a stretch.

    • If we would have married off the gorilla to the alligator, it would have helped the shidduch crisis. Chaval
