harvard-arafat-graveHarvard University students recently took a trip to honor terrorist Yasser Arafat. The group posed for a photo next to Arafat’s grave in Ramallah despite the fact that Arafat helped organize and fund terror against Jews.

The trip took place as part of the “Harvard College Israel Trek 2014” which “aims to engage a diverse cohort of undergraduate student leaders of all faiths and backgrounds with Israeli history, culture, and politics.”

According to the trek’s site, “[the] Israel Trek is made possible by the generous contributions of a number of family foundations and Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies. The Trek is supported by Harvard Hillel.”

To Arafat’s credit, he acknowledged Israel as the Jewish state, which is something his successor, Mahmoud Abbas, has yet to do — an oversight the Obama administration believes should not matter with respect to negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

J Street has previously sponsored student trips to Arafat’s grave as well.

  1. Figures. The same “university” tried to moderate the witch inquisition, and let one of its alumni (and a minister, no less: George Burroughs, 1692) be hanged. So who thought that anti-Jewish was a redneck, Gentile thing? Nazi anti-Semitism arose among Viennese plutocrats. And was tolerated, even sympathized, by the wealthy, learned Jewish bourgeois, who despised sh’miras mitzvos. We must focus.

  2. From the website, it looks like mainly goyim are on the trip. Of the organizers, 2 served in the IDF and one is an arab.
