adam-hasnerYou don’t often see mere candidates from other states weighing in on special election victories unprovoked from hundreds of miles away.

But Adam Hasner, who is contesting for GOP Senate nomination in the Jewish-heavy state of Florida and is Jewish himself, is out with a quick statement Tuesday night congratulating Bob Turner and arguing that the victory exemplifies how Democrats are losing their grip on the Jewish vote.

“The results are also a clear message that the Obama administration’s deeply hostile policies toward Israel have electoral consequences, even in the safest of districts and in the bluest of cities. This further illustrates that Jewish voters, who have traditionally supported Democrats, are searching for alternatives to the politicians and policies that have strained the natural alliance between America and Israel.

“As regional threats mount against our most important ally in the Middle East, Senator Nelson’s continued silence clearly demonstrates he values President Obama’s approval more highly than the security of Israel. If elected to the U.S. Senate, I will work to reverse their damaging policies and proudly stand with Israel as our most vital and trusted ally in the Middle East.”
