Israeli Justice Minister and HaYamin HeHadash (the New Right) party member Ayelet Shaked ruled out a right-wing merger between her party and incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in upcoming elections, alleging that right-wing voters are not getting what they cast ballots for when it comes to the premier’s Likud faction.

Shaked insisted that her party would not be joining forces with Likud, claiming such a union was “not on the table.”

Rather, the justice minister lashed Netanyahu’s leadership in past years, alleging that his coalition governments had resulted in Israelis voting for a right-wing government, but instead getting a left-wing government.
