candle-small6It is with great sadness that we report the passing of hayeled Moshe Stareshevsky z”l, who was niftar Shabbos afternoon. 16-month-old Moshe was a son of R’ Hillel and Mrs. Rochie Stareshevsky of West Gate, in Lakewood, NJ.

The petirah occurred after Moshe choked on a sandwich. Hatzolah transported Moshe to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, but, unfortunately, rescue efforts were to no avail and this young neshama was taken from our midst.

The levaya will take place at 10:15 a.m. at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel off of East Seventh Street.

Umacha Hashem dimah mei’al kol ponim.

  1. Boruch Dayan Emes! May the Stareshevsky and Katz family from Cleveland have a Nechama from this terrible Tzorah, Umacha Hashem Elokim Dimoh M’al Kol Ponim.

  2. After this weeks tragedy of accidentally forgetting and leaving a baby in the car, all Lakewood kolel yungerleit haters reared their head. So what are these complainers going to say now. Lakewooders shouldn’t give their children sandwiches?

How often do women (in the entire U.S.)forget and leave their roast on the fire and almost burn down the house or forget and leave their keys in the car (Just ask AAA how often they get calls from locked out drivers.).

  3. So sorry to hear such sad news. Don’t know these people. Hashem should send them a nechama. It hurts the heart.Lost a nephew to crib death many years ago…long lingering pain for parents….Hashem, put an end to the tzures of Klal Yisroel

  4. The West Gate community has been hit hard the past while. May Hashem have rachmanus on this wonderful kehillah of ehrliche bnei Torah led by one of the gedolim of America, Rav Yosef Zimbal, a shining example of a living kiddush Hashem.
Umacha Hashem deeemah mayal kol poneem.

  5. When a tragedy of this magnitude hits klal yisroel there’s always three things that must be addressed. The first to be ‘mishtatef ‘in the pain of another yid – one cannot imagine what this family is going through. And second to strengthen our ‘emunah’ in H-shem and realize that after all is said, it only happened because that was the rotzoin of Hashem and that everything Hashem does is for the good. And thirdly one has to be very careful not to speak negative or badly about Hashem that how could he to this or even to say every day another tragedy or what’s next, as if to imply that all is bad and all is wrong c”v. WHEN A PERSON IS A TRUE PERSON OF FAITH & TRUST IN HASHEM. HE GETS TO BE THE HAPPIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. This is a nisayon for the parents in bitachon & emunah in hashem (just like aharon hakohen when his children died he was quiet & had faith in Hashem…). If its not possible for a person to pass a test from Hashem he is not given the test. Its a time like this that one has to remind oneself of all the ‘hatovah’ and all the chesed that H-shem does for all of us ALL the time.
Every person has a job to fulfill in this world. now the child has done his job & is ready to go to the olam ha’emes (true world)& you two special people (parents) were the chosen agents of Hashem to take care of this child. May hashem reward you for this.& may his neshama have an aliyah & your lives be filled with only Simcha.

  6. #3, You make no point whatsoever.
It is a terrible tragedy, it does remind people of the importnace of always watching their children especially while they are eating and you learn basic CPR and first aid.

  7. what a tragedy may Hashem confort this family and may they see no more zaros and hamokam yenachem eschem be’soch shar aveli tzion v’yerushalim

  8. #8 you are 100% right!
i have lived in westgate for the last five years, during that time there has been 4 children that have died under “freak accidents”
i say “freak accidents”, because when i tell people that Hashem makes things happen for the Jews to start changing, they tell me that these things are “freak accidents”.
why? beacuse then they have to start changing.
This is enough already! enough of children playing in the street and unattended, enough of children being left in cars.Anyone that has been given children is because Hashem gave them a presant. you really think Hashem doesn’t care what happens to them? you really think Hashem wants you to leave them alone for the streets to raise them? Please wake up! learn from these incidents and take note- you have a presant, watch it and care for it. If someone gives you a presant and you don’t value it what do they do? sometimes they take it back. These parents and all the parents of these “freak accidents” should be comforted. But it is our job as the outsiders to change!
