A hero saved a young man from being flattened by an L train by jumping onto the tracks and hauling him onto the platform to safety, NY Post reported.

Jonathan Kulig, 29, had just gotten off a Manhattan-bound train at the Third Avenue station when he saw something fall onto the tracks on the opposite platform. But when he realized it was moving, he jumped down and scooped the barely-conscious kid up.

“I didn’t think,” he told the Post. “I just kind of did it.”

Kulig, who works for Con Ed, had gone through the MTA’s track-safety training program last month, so he was well equipped to make the daring rescue on the rails.
