From a New York Post report: Donald Trump carried New York in 2016 — when it came to the vanity-plate vote.

The Donald’s improbable run to the White House last year inspired 21 requests for license plates containing the phrase “Trump,” and all but one were approved, state Department of Motor Vehicles records show.

One motorist scored the plate TRUMPUSA while others, TRUMPWON and TRUMPWH, anticipated the election upset. Then there’s the rah-rah, GOTRUMP, 1TRUMP and TRUMPEM. Another driver got TRUMP276. Three billionaire wannabes drive around with the plates DTRUMP, DONTRUMP and TRUMPJR. And then there’s the individual who scored TRUMPU, perhaps an alum of the defunct Trump University.

Heshy Friedman, 57, of Brooklyn, has been a Trump fan since meeting him at the 2004 Israeli Day Parade, where Trump was the grand marshal. “His tough talk and no-nonsense is a breath of fresh air,” he said.

So last year, Friedman, who founded Jewish Democrats for Trump, applied for TRUMP16 and 16TRUMP. To his dismay, both were taken.

Third time was a charm with TRUMP17. It now adorns his Land Rover.

“Why not TRUMP17? After all, he wasn’t going to be president until 2017. And so it was,” Friedman told The Post.

New York’s personalized plates go for $60, and you can get any plate as long as no one else has it and it’s not offensive.

  1. Ois gevarfen gelt. Money should have been used for harbatzas toirah like hershy friedman and dirshu.

Moreover it appears that by worshipping trump he is oiver lo yehiye lecha elohim acahirim.

How about a plate Torah is Real

    • Trump is the most pro Jewish politician in history of America. He has appointed Betzy Devos who is very pro voucher. This will help yeshivas with their struggling tuitions. This is marbetz Torah.

      • Struggling tuitions? Why should Yeshivahs get vouchers when they have heavy restrictions for acceptance? Atleast public school has a open door policy!o

        • You need more yeshivas because there is an increase of so many types of frum yidden. There are kids from heimisha homes whos parents are modern chassidim. Kids like that have hard times finding yeshivas. Perhaps with the billions of dollars Trump plans to shift to yeshivas there will be yeshivas for all types of kids.

          • What on gods green earth do people have with butchering yiddish phrases or jewish phrases. Heimish? The families are homestyled? Modern chassidim diping each foot in a different pool? Again why should yeshivas get vouchers when the yeshivas have a none open door policy? Obviously it cant be a total open door. But why is their no solutions? Why are local kids turned down from yeshivas. Only tfor tbat same yeshiva.to take kids in from other towns? Why is t their no community board to weigh cases to make sure things are “kosher”?

          • You can’t mix different type kids in a yeshiva. Some families are very frum, some are in the middle and some are tuna bagel types if you know what I mean. So you need different level schools. It’s common sense. Some parents want three hours English and some are happy with a half hour a day. So you can’t lump all kids together. All the yeshivas should get Trumps vouchers and everyone will be a yeshiva according to his needs. It’s simple. The democrats want seperation of church And state and oppose supporting yeshivas other than throwing some lunch program and busses.

  2. I’d be afraid of a Trump hater vandalizing the vehicle. People are so impassioned about politics nowadays that it’s a risk to even reveal who you voted for.

    • As Jews we should express our support and go out and vote for candidates who support our community. Reb Moshe ztl urged Jews to vote. By showing that we are against the politically correct secularists, we are standing up for values. Look how America is sinking in morality because good people remain silent. It’s time to change and get rid of all the nadlers and schumers and the rest of the anti Torah hooligans. If we registered hundreds of thousands of frum Jews we would see change.

  3. Go Heshy go.
You should be representing Jews to Trump. You got the guts and spirit. Not too many people have the guts to display a Trump plate in today’s politically correct climate. An admirer from israel formerly Brooklyn.

  4. I don’t usually pay attention to comments but seeing so many comments I took a curious look. I can add my two sense. I wonder if his car ever got scratched or damaged because of his display of Trump plates. It would be interesting to find out public reaction as this type of plate drives around the streets. I just could imagine non jewish rednecks passing him by and seeing a jewish guy at the wheel. Or what would be the reaction from Moslem or liberal anti Trumpniks seeing a guy with a yarmulka or black hat driving with such a license plate. It would make an interesting story. I myself would never take such a chance especially with an expensive vehicle. You read all the time how people wearing a red Trump cap are attacked or harassed. It takes guts or meshugas to play with fire. Anyway I wish all the Trump fans who display their views a safe trip wherever they go, but use seichel, if you know what I mean. Thanks matzav for bringing interesting news.
