High School Dropout Who Invested In Bitcoin At $12 Is Now A Millionaire At 18

Erik Finman began investing in bitcoin in 2011, when it was just $12 per token

Through selling companies and other investments, he now has 403 bitcoins — worth well over a $1 million.

Erik Finman made a bet with his parents that if he turned 18 and was a millionaire, they wouldn’t force him to go to college. Thanks to his savvy investments in bitcoin and the current all-time high valuation, he won’t have to get his degree.

“I can proudly say I made it, and I’m not going to college,” Finman said. Read more at CNBC.

  1. In 2011 Erik was a minor. He was 12 years old. How did he “buy” Bitcoins? From whom did he “buy” them?

    “Selling Companies and other investments”.
When he was 12 years old? Why does Matzav feel the need to spread fake stories? Don’t spread lies and encourage others to make dumb choices.

  2. Keen kid. Reconsider the education. Its worth more than the gold.

Watch out casinos. This kid might be a high roller and big player. Unless he does have sense for business.

No one can know the price of a child turned adult with the cash. It can be great or loss.

  3. If you read the original article you may notice it was written in June 2017, six months ago, when bitcoin was worth 2,700. It has since more than sextupled (depending on what time of day you check, anyway). His investment is now worth more than $6 million.
Where will it end up? Well, one savant in the article predicted a max of $2,700 (oops), while another says $100,000 apiece. Bottom line – there are no credible predictions.

    • So can you loan me $100,000.00 so I can quickly get in? You have nothing to worry about because as you say it will surely keep going up. Can I come over now to pick up the money?
