Brooklyn, NY – Following an accident yesterday that badly injured a woman when she was struck by an unregistered forklift driving the wrong way, Assemblyman Hikind (D-Brooklyn) is urging community residents to exercise caution when near loading zones where forklifts and similar devices are in use.
The victim, who was hit in front of a lumber yard on 13th Avenue near 60th Street, was rushed to Lutheran Hospital.
“This was such a terrible incident,” said the Assemblyman. “The victim is reportedly going to be okay but her injuries were serious and we are all praying for her speedy recovery.”
Assemblyman Hikind urges residents who see anything that appears to be dangerous or the least bit questionable to call his office at 718-853-9616 where he and his staff will follow up.
